UK Family Visa Routes
Family visas allow non-UK nationals to join close relatives in the UK, including partners, parents, children, and other dependent family members. These routes provide a way to reunite with loved ones and may lead to long-term settlement. Visa Professionals can guide you through every aspect of the application process.
Child Visa
A Child Visa allows a child under 18 to join a parent or family member who is settled or living permanently in the UK. Applicants must demonstrate that the child is dependent, unmarried, and that suitable care and accommodation are available in the UK. Both parents must normally consent to the child’s move to the UK.
Parent Visa
The Parent Visa route enables a parent of a British, Irish, or settled child to live in the UK. The applicant must have sole responsibility or direct parental involvement in the child’s upbringing. This is a complex route and professional advice is strongly recommended.
Adult Dependent Relative Visa
This visa allows elderly parents, grandparents, or severely disabled relatives to join family in the UK permanently. It is only granted in exceptional cases where the applicant requires long-term personal care that cannot reasonably be provided in their home country. This is one of the most demanding visa routes and requires strong supporting medical evidence.
UK Ancestry Visa
The UK Ancestry Visa is available to Commonwealth citizens with a UK-born grandparent. This route allows you to work in the UK and supports bringing dependent family members, offering an alternative path to long-term settlement through ancestral ties.
EU Settlement Scheme
EU, EEA and Swiss nationals and their family members who were living in the UK before 31 December 2020 may be eligible to apply under the EU Settlement Scheme for Pre-Settled or Settled Status. Late applications are still being considered in certain circumstances.
